As a Credit Verification Specialist in auto finance, you will be responsible for calling, verifying and/or collecting information from customers as part of the auto loan underwriting process. You will work with credit analysts, funders, and loan integrity officers to investigate factors that need clarification, subsequently contacting customers to obtain the required information. The verification process is based on existing credit policies and operations procedures, and you will manage a pipeline with a service level commitment to automotive dealers.
Excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong time‑management skills are required to ensure exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct phone interviews with potential and existing auto customers to investigate and ensure due diligence
Interact with dealers, external customers, and internal departments within Chase
Conduct employment and insurance verification
Investigate and verify pertinent loan information
Perform application re‑keys to identify and correct application submission errors
Meet or exceed quality control audit standards
Participate in the document retention process
Required Qualifications
Strong communication skills
Strong teamwork skills and ability to meet deadlines
Customer service and/or retail sales experience
Experience within a call‑center environment preferred
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask and adapt within a changing environment
Interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
