Your Key Responsibilities As a Transaction Analytics Director, you will lead teams in delivering critical data‑driven business, financial, and commercial insights to support clients in their M&A, divestitures, carve‑outs, and other transformational events. You will also lead value creation initiatives within private equity portfolio companies and corporations. This role combines technical skills with business acumen, using tools such as Alteryx, Snowflake, Databricks, PowerBI, Excel, SQL, and Python, and leveraging AI technologies to drive efficiencies. You will mentor junior team members and present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Lead data analytics projects to advise clients on financial and commercial issues, M&A transactions, and value creation opportunities for corporate clients and private equity portfolio companies.

Guide teams in executing descriptive and predictive analytics, transforming data into actionable insights.

Contribute to practice development and business growth through client meetings, presentations, and new business pursuits.

Support the career development of junior staff through mentorship.

Drive innovation by applying advanced analytical techniques and staying updated on sector trends.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic insights and solutions.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Project Management: Manage cross‑functional project teams for successful execution.

Commercially Driven: Apply strong business acumen coupled with technical knowledge/skills in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in tools like Alteryx, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, Excel, SQL and Python; interest in AI.

Business Development: Assist in client acquisition and practice growth efforts.

People Development: Mentor and guide junior team members.

Innovation: Leverage cutting‑edge data analytics techniques to deliver insights.

Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with clients, offering data‑driven recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience (or a graduate degree with 4+ years).

Strong analytical skills with experience in data wrangling, transformation, and analysis (descriptive and predictive).

Proficiency in relational databases and data models.

Experience in diverse industries and functional areas.

Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to varied audiences.

Must reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location.

Ability and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when required.

Ideally

Master’s degree, and/or CPA or CFA license.

M&A experience and financial statement analysis.

Experience with advanced analytical methods (e.g., pricing studies, customer lifetime value).

Experience with analytics tools (Alteryx, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, Python, SQL).

Knowledge of how to leverage AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, etc.

Interest in working with alternative data to analyze competitive positioning.

What We Offer

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary range for all geographic locations in the US is $120,400–$220,700; higher ranges for certain cities.

Hybrid model: work 40‑60% in‑person with external roles.
