POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Payroll, Benefits and Compliance is responsible for leading the administration of Avtron Power Solutions’ payroll and benefits programs to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing. This position will also ensure all regulatory, tax and compliance systems are in place at all US locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the managed payroll process for all US employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Maintain and update payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings. This includes making sure all new states are set up if we hire employees in states new to Avtron.

Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll accounts, prepare reporting, and support audits.

Monitor and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, FLSA, and other applicable regulations. Periodically audit payroll records to ensure all documents are in order.

Manage employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Reconcile monthly invoices to ensure there are no discrepancies.

Partner with brokers and vendors to optimize benefit offerings, ensure cost-effectiveness, and support annual renewals. Lead the annual open enrollment process, ensuring smooth execution and clear employee communication.

Direct employees to managed Benefit contact as needed.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and reduce risk.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting to government agencies (ACA, EEO, 401k compliance, I9, E-Verify, etc.).

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

4+ years of progressive payroll and benefits experience

Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, and other benefit-related laws.

Experience with payroll and HRIS systems. ADP and Dayforce experience preferred

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Must be organized, self-directed and proactive.
