Responsibilities

Responsible for US payroll processing for 1,000+ semi-monthly employees in multistate jurisdictions using Workday Payroll, Mexico, Brazil and Canada.

Ensure that payroll data including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, special payments, tax allocations, work location changes, Overtime, garnishments, address changes, bonuses, relocation, commissions, dividends, equity transactions and employee deductions are processed.

Audit, analyze and reconcile payroll.

Ensure compliance with all payroll tax laws and company policy.

Process reporting data for Legal entity controlling team accurately and timely.

Handle the Payroll tax related correspondences.

Research and resolve any payroll related employee inquiries.

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external departments.

Process manual checks and reversals as need.

Support any adhoc payroll projects assigned to the team.

Process and reconcile W-2’s and T-4’s.

Manage the registration process of new state, and local regulatory agencies as needed.

Responsible investigation and resolution of tax notices from federal, state, and local agencies.

Support implementation of Workday Payroll Project.

Knowledge of basic accounting methods and principles

Qualifications

2+ years’ professional experience, preferably within a similar payroll or payroll accounting role

Experience of working within an international and multi-cultural environment

Advanced proficiency in Excel, intermediate in other MS Office programs and experience with Workday HRMS and other applications

Highly motivated and proactive individual, eager to take personal ownership for the administration of payrolls and accounting

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong team-playing attitude

Detail-focused approach to ensure that all payroll is performed to the highest level of accuracy and to ensure that all control steps within the payroll process are rigorously adhered to

Ability to work independently, demonstrating a logical thought process and an ability to assimilate new information and tasks quickly

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and to re-align priorities when required at short notice

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred

Fluency in written and spoken English and desired Spanish

Payroll qualifications and diplomas are an advantage
