Academic Advising Manager - AAF-SPCEET ADVISING
Job ID: 290395 | Location: Kennesaw, Georgia (Marietta campus as primary). Full‑time, Regular.
Kennesaw State University is a large public institution. The Academic Advising Manager will support undergraduate advising initiatives, supervise departmental staff, and collaborate across campus to enhance student success.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive academic advising services to student populations.
Identify, organize, and execute retention and graduation initiatives.
Prepare and update advising materials and support staff training.
Implement events and initiatives for student retention and progression.
Assess advising services and programs.
Supervise and evaluate advising staff, ensuring professional standards.
Provide guidance to advisors on initiatives.
Collaborate with academic departments and partners to foster success.
Represent the college on committees and coordinate communication plans.
Provide outreach communications to support timely advising interventions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in higher education or related field.
Minimum five years experience as an academic advisor.
Advanced degree preferred.
Proficiency in advising tools and student success systems.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer‑service skills.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $56,720–$60,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 13 paid holidays, vacation, retirement plan, tuition waiver, wellness options.
