New York, NY or Houston, TX Salary Range:
$235,000–$390,000
A global law firm is seeking a
Junior or Mid-Level Associate
(2 to 5 years of experience) to join its
Energy and Infrastructure Practice Group
in either New York or Houston. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, cross-border project finance transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors, representing a sophisticated and diverse client base that includes multinational corporations, institutional investors, private equity firms, and major financial institutions.
The practice focuses on a wide variety of energy and infrastructure assets, including traditional and renewable energy, transportation, and other essential infrastructure. Associates in this group regularly handle:
Project development and financing (greenfield and brownfield projects)
Limited recourse and structured financings
Equity and debt investments in energy and infrastructure projects
Public-private partnerships and joint venture arrangements
M&A and divestitures within the infrastructure and energy sectors
Candidates with prior experience in project finance, leveraged finance, or other types of debt/equity financings are encouraged to apply.
Candidate Requirements:
2 to 5 years of experience in project finance or complex finance transactions at a law firm or in-house legal department
Experience with infrastructure or energy projects is but not required
JD from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic performance
Admission to practice and in good standing in the jurisdiction of hire (New York or Texas)
Excellent communication, drafting, and organizational skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced deal flow with client-facing responsibilities
Entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative spirit
