Senior Family Law Attorney

What We Offer Competitive base salary with generous performance-based bonuses Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan with firm matching Flexible vacation and PTO, plus paid holidays and sick leave Stability in a full-time role with a growing, respected firm Ongoing professional development, training, and mentorship A collaborative, supportive team culture focused on well-being Regular firm events, team-building activities, and family-friendly outings What You’ll Do Manage a full caseload of family law matters independently Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases and legal strategies Provide clients with exceptional representation rooted in skill, compassion, and integrity Contribute to a positive, respectful, and growth-focused workplace Responsibilities Manage family law cases from intake through resolution, including divorce, custody, child support, and related matters, with strong courtroom advocacy skills Develop and execute strategic case plans grounded in thorough legal research and analysis Draft clear, persuasive motions, pleadings, and supporting documents at all stages of litigation Represent clients confidently in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials Maintain organized, accurate, and detailed legal documentation throughout each case Stay current on Georgia family law developments through ongoing research, CLEs, and professional growth Qualifications Communicate complex legal matters clearly and empathetically to clients with diverse levels of understanding Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, co-counsel, senior leadership, and support staff while upholding the highest ethical standards Efficiently track and manage billable hours to meet client expectations and case requirements Demonstrate proven expertise in Family Law Hold an active license to practice law in Georgia Exhibit strong organizational, planning, and time management skills Compensation $160,000 - $250,000 yearly Hecht Family Law was founded to help clients who are going through some of life’s toughest times. Attorney Ed Hecht brings an understanding of what it’s like to be in his clients’ shoes because he’s also been through a divorce with children, pays child support, and has dealt with alimony and child custody. As a loving, devoted father to two children, he understands the sensitivities involved in helping people who need to be able to co-parent for years after their marriage ends. The entire Hecht Family Law team inherently understands the necessity of being a caring, expert advocate for others going through this painful process.
