Safety Coordinator (1099 Contractor)
Doota Industrial America is looking for a dynamic and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our thriving team for a 1‑2 month temporary contract. You will champion and support safety programs and initiatives across our company, ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal regulations, and company policies.
Location: Round Rock, TX (on‑site work with occasional travel to Taylor, TX). This role will be based in a vibrant community while contributing to high‑impact safety projects.
Your Impact
Design and execute comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and protocols tailored for the company.
Perform safety audits and inspections at job sites and equipment to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Educate and train employees and contractors on safety procedures to foster a culture of safety awareness.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain safety records and generate detailed performance reports.
Participate in safety committees and various safety initiatives.
Support emergency response and disaster recovery operations.
Lead and manage the safety team, including Field Safety Technicians, providing guidance and direction.
Monitor and analyze safety trends to proactively identify improvement areas.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies to stay current on safety regulations.
Organize and facilitate safety drills, simulations, and workshops.
Integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to promote safety best practices.
Develop and manage safety recognition programs to reward exceptional performance.
Regularly review and update policies to align with industry advancements.
Foster open communication for reporting safety concerns and sharing improvement ideas.
Requirements
Bi‑lingual in Spanish (required).
Minimum 5 years of safety experience, preferably in telecommunications or related industry.
OSHA 510 certification.
Proven experience in safety inspections and audits.
Ability to develop and implement safety procedures and protocols.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Analytical skills to identify safety trends and implement corrective actions.
Crisis management and emergency response experience, including drills and simulations.
Capability to train and educate employees on safety policies and procedures.
Detail‑oriented with solid organizational and time‑management skills.
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and best practices.
Willingness to stay updated on industry advancements and emerging safety concerns.
Flexibility to travel to job sites and attend safety meetings as required.
Your Education
High School Diploma or GED (required).
Certification in Occupational Safety and Health (CSP or GSP).
OSHA 30 certification.
OSHA 510 certification.
