Location: Burnett, TX. Work schedule Monday – Friday with occasional overtime. Outdoor environment.

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Railcar Repairman/Carman to prepare railcars for transportation. Responsibilities include inspection, repair, lubrication, recordkeeping, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

Inspect railcars for serviceability, damage, and fatigue.

Identify and perform repairs that can be completed by Road & Rail Services.

Notify management of unserviceable railcars that cannot be repaired.

Execute authorized repairs to customer and AAR specifications.

Lubricate railcars and record lubrication dates.

Accurately record all repairs electronically or in writing.

Assist in “prepping” railcars—including blowers, brooms, vacuums, and scraping devices—to remove debris.

Operate small farm tractors, ATVs, pickup trucks, and panel vans.

Perform housekeeping duties as required by site management.

Skills, Licenses, Certification, and Special Training

Valid state driver’s license (if required to operate company equipment).

Proficiency with hand tools (pipe wrenches, pry bars, wrenches, ratchets, etc.) for grinding weld slag or spatter.

Requirements

4G, 5G, and stick welding experience is required.

Must be able to work outside in the elements.

Mechanical abilities and experience in railcar repair.
