In this role you will oversee the daily operations of Camp Liberty Equestrian Center, design year‑round programming for Girl Scouts K‑12, and shape the vibrant summer camp equestrian program from June to August. Located in beautiful New Liberty, Iowa, this position offers a competitive salary ranging from $40,000 to $43,000 and flexible work options to support a healthy work‑life balance.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Camp Liberty Equestrian Center, ensuring horses and facilities receive exceptional care.

Design, implement, and evaluate year‑round programming tailored for Girl Scouts in grades K‑12, with a particular emphasis on the summer camp equestrian program.

Build and nurture community partnerships to enhance funding and volunteer engagement, delivering high‑quality, hands‑on experiences that embody the Girl Scout mission.

Lead and manage staff and volunteers, maintaining safety guidelines, ACA standards, and personnel policies.

Requirements

At least 21 years old.

Certification as an equestrian instructor from a nationally recognized organization.

At least six weeks of management or supervisory experience at a horseback riding facility.

Current certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a 12‑passenger van.

Physical endurance: ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, tolerate various weather conditions, lift and carry at least 50 lbs, and ride horses weekly.

Experience working with children and teenagers, with a solid understanding of safety guidelines, ACA standards, and personnel policies.

Strong belief in the Girl Scouts mission and ability to register as a Girl Scout member.

Salary $40,000 - $43,000 per year.
