Executive Sous Chef – The Club, Inc (Birmingham, AL)

The Club, Inc offers a premium membership experience that includes access to three restaurants and a bar with stunning views, serving exquisite cuisine. We are looking for an Executive Sous Chef to help create memorable dining experiences for our members and guests.

Daily Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and develop menus

Ensure high food quality standards are met and maintained

Manage food costs and labor costs effectively

Supervise back‑of‑house operations and staff development

Oversee banquet catering and menu development

Required Skills

Culinary degree or proven experience leading kitchen operations at a similar level

Extensive understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment

Able to work in a fast‑paced high‑stress environment

Experience in restaurant management

Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards

Menu planning and cost management expertise

ServSafe Certified with a focus on cooking and food preparation

Passion for quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction

Self‑driven chef looking to grow their career

Nice to Have Skills

Catering experience

Experience in staff development and training

Knowledge of banquet catering and event planning
