Policy and Program Development : Design and promote HSE policies, safe work practices, and incident prevention programs that support company objectives and meet regulatory requirements.
Safety Observation Engagement : Encourage and track active participation in the safety observation process by both management and employees to strengthen workplace safety culture.
Training and Onboarding Coordination : Oversee new hire orientation, ensuring delivery of safety training and proper PPE issuance for a secure onboarding experience.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) : Participate in weekly KPI meetings, contributing HSE metrics and insights to inform performance reviews and strategic decisions.
Learning Teams Facilitation : Apply Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles to lead learning teams focused on continuous improvement.
Incident Recordkeeping and Corrective Actions : Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner with internal teams, leadership, contractors, and external agencies to foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
HSE Training Management : Develop and maintain a training matrix and annual learning calendar, assigning relevant regulatory, safety, and environmental courses via the LMS. Coordinate third-party training and collaborate with HR to enhance program effectiveness.
Regulatory Compliance Monitoring : Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations through regular audits, inspections, and safety walkthroughs.
Policy and Program Evaluation : Review and assess existing safety policies and programs, providing recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.
Inspection Coordination : Schedule, assign, and track follow-up actions from routine inspections using the company’s HSE management system software.
Safety Alert Communication : Draft and distribute safety alerts to promptly share critical safety information across the organization.
Effective Communication : Clearly communicate safety protocols and reinforce the company’s “Safety as a Value” commitment to all personnel.
Presentation and Interpersonal Skills : Deliver impactful presentations to various audiences, including executive leadership, while cultivating strong working relationships.
Post-Incident Support : Assist with post-incident procedures including drug and alcohol screenings and employee transportation to offsite medical facilities when necessary.
Executive Support : Execute tasks assigned by the VP of HSE to advance the company’s safety goals.
Additional Duties : Perform other responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives.

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Industrial Engineering preferred).
Experience : 7–10 years in HSE within industrial manufacturing (pipe, steel, or heavy equipment preferred), including 3–5 years in site leadership.
Certifications : CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent preferred.
Industry Insight : Skilled in applying industry benchmarks and trends with strong execution.
Continuous Improvement : Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Regulatory Expertise : Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO, API, and HSE systems for onshore/offshore operations.
Project Documentation : Experienced in developing HSE bridging documents.
Leadership : Proven ability to manage and coordinate HSE activities.
Communication : Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Relationship Building : Effective at fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to enterprise software.
Job Requirements : May include drug screening, background checks, medical exams, valid driver’s license, PPE use, outdoor work, and travel to remote sites.
