Position Overview MyOme seeks a Lead Bioinformatics Analyst to improve test performance monitoring systems at MyOme. You will work with bioinformatics, lab, engineering, and research to ensure that MyOme continues to deliver accurate and timely test results to patients.
What You'll Do
Work with the Head of Engineering, lab, clinical, and engineering teams to ensure accurate genetic test results are delivered to patients and care providers on time
Oversee day‑to‑day functioning of dry lab systems and actively monitor system/test performance, as well as perform variant call quality checks and bioinformatics reviews
Help define and carry out the validation processes for new tests
Work to investigate and find solutions for problematic areas of the analysis pipeline and review processes
Work with engineering to implement, maintain, and monitor production test workflows via the development of operational processes, dashboards, and KPIs

Exceptional experience with the analysis of genetic and operational data. Working experience with Python and SQL.
Experience working with a team to validate, launch, and monitor new genetic assays
Experience performing manual review of variant calls from NGS and other types of assay data
Ability to thrive in a nimble start‑up environment with changing priorities. Know the difference between scrappy one‑off solutions and production‑grade solutions.
Location, Compensation, and Benefits
Location: Hybrid role, 2 - 3 days a week onsite at our San Francisco, CA office, near Montgomery BART
Compensation: Annual base salary range is $150,000 - $190,000
San Francisco Bay Area pay range: $150,000 USD - $190,000 USD
