World-class, mission-driven, international non-profit, close to Boston, seeks Senior Grants Accounting Manager to handle the financial management and reporting for Grants and Donor-restricted funds using our
Workday
platform.
Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Full lifecycle financial management of grants, contributions, and donor-restricted funds in Workday.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (FASB ASC 958 and ASC 606), donor intent, and internal controls.
Central role in managing restricted revenue recognition, net asset release tracking, and cross‑functional reporting alignment between Finance, Development, and Program teams.
Recognize restricted/unrestricted revenue.
Document net asset releases (time, purpose, condition).
Maintain schedules of restricted net assets and related journal entries.
Lead monthly close for grants and restricted revenue.
Manage grant close‑outs and ensure accurate revenue/expense recording.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and OMB Uniform Guidance.
Train staff on grant financials and net asset processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 7‑10+ years of sophisticated nonprofit finance experience, including managing restricted revenue, net asset releases, and complex, multi‑year grant portfolios.
Knowledge of GAAP for nonprofits, particularly ASC 958 and ASC 606.
Advanced proficiency in Workday Financials including grant or project management.
