In this role you will be a critical thought partner and strategic extension of our client's Founder and Chief Executive Officer. You will help shape the trajectory of the business by enabling the CEO and executive team to operate with maximum focus, clarity, and velocity.

This is not a traditional administrative role—it is a strategic position of trust and influence. You will oversee key initiatives, drive operational efficiency, manage internal communications, and act as a catalyst for execution across the organization. You’ll serve as a behind-the-scenes force-multiplier and public-facing proxy as needed, translating strategy into action and ensuring organizational alignment around our client's most important goals.

Essential Functions Strategic Partner to the CEO

Act as a trusted advisor, sounding board, and right hand to the CEO.

Support development and execution of strategic plans, board materials, investor communications, and internal initiatives.

Track, distill, and synthesize strategic discussions into actionable next steps and drive their execution across the organization.

Executive Team Enablement

Prepare the CEO and executive team for meetings, presentations, and public appearances by providing briefings, pre-reads, and strategic context.

Coordinate and facilitate leadership meetings, ensuring clear agendas, action items, and timely follow-through.

Identify and address bottlenecks in communication and decision-making across leadership.

Cross-Functional Initiative Management

Lead high-priority, often confidential, cross-functional projects on behalf of the CEO.

Serve as a connective tissue across departments, aligning key stakeholders and ensuring seamless execution of business-critical initiatives.

Surface risks, identify opportunities, and ensure organizational accountability.

Internal Communications & Organizational Alignment

Support or lead development of internal communications and messaging from the CEO to the broader organization.

Ensure clear alignment between the executive team and broader staff on company priorities, milestones, and cultural initiatives.

Assist in change management and internal rollout of key initiatives.

Board & Investor Engagement

Support CEO in preparation for Board of Directors meetings, investor presentations, and strategic external communications.

Draft or review board decks, earnings call scripts, and other key materials with an eye for strategic clarity and impact.

Operational Efficiency

Proactively identify areas where the CEO’s time and attention should be reallocated for higher leverage.

Streamline or own business processes, meeting cadences, OKRs, and planning cycles to increase organizational effectiveness.

Own or influence special projects and operations that sit outside of standard functional ownership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PhD or Master’s Degree) strongly preferred.

7+ years of progressive experience in strategy, consulting, business operations, venture capital/private equity, or high-growth startups.

Experience in genomics, life sciences, diagnostics, or technology-driven healthcare organizations is strongly preferred.

Proven ability to work directly with C-suite executives in a high-growth, innovation-focused environment.

Strong strategic and operational acumen; able to connect big-picture thinking with pragmatic execution.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to influence without authority and build trust quickly across all levels.

High EQ, sound judgment, discretion, and a track record of handling confidential information with integrity.

Strong analytical skills with a natural ability to break down complexity, synthesize insight, and drive data-informed decisions.

Comfortable in ambiguity and energized by solving novel, unstructured problems in fast-paced environments.
