Strategic Account Manager Your main responsibilities
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for directly managing one of the most visible and high-impact national accounts for Schindler North America. This individual will lead strategic planning and execution across all vertical transportation (VT) service lines, developing customer‑centric programs, executing contract deliverables, and supporting operational performance. The SAM must be a strong communicator, critical thinker, and collaborator capable of navigating both internal teams and senior external stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Develop and execute segment‑specific strategies to exceed financial, service delivery, and client satisfaction targets across all business lines. (20%)
Serve as the primary relationship manager and escalation point for a high‑profile national account, ensuring successful resolution of service issues and proactive customer engagement. (20%)
Leverage data and reporting to analyze trends, identify opportunities, and build compelling data‑driven presentations for both internal and external stakeholders. (15%)
Represent the voice of the customer internally and drive accountability for service delivery improvements. (10%)
Collaborate with field operations and cross‑functional teams to align on goals and ensure local execution supports national objectives. (10%)
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in VT industry trends, Schindler capabilities, and client‑specific service models. (10%)
Coordinate executive‑level account reviews and facilitate strategic touchpoints between client and Schindler leadership. (5%)
Guide and support contract renewals, expansions, and commercial negotiations. (5%)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of account activities and initiatives in CRM systems. (5%)
Oversee several units across client portfolios, representing one of Schindler’s most critical and visible national accounts.
Manage and influence a huge portfolio in monthly operating revenue, with responsibility for achieving year‑over‑year service growth, retention, and profitability goals.
Act as the senior‑most customer liaison across all regions, ensuring alignment between field execution and national objectives.
Exercise analytical and financial rigor when evaluating service rebates, concessions, and strategic investments impacting account performance.
Play a pivotal role in sustaining long‑term customer relationships, executive engagement, and strategic renewals.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, or Finance
Contract Negotiations and Renewals experience
Elevator/VT Industry Knowledge
Executive Presentation Skills
CRM Experience
