Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Radiologist, perform general mammography imaging procedures as well as advanced procedures (e.g., stereotactic biopsies, breast ultrasound, ultrasound-guided breast biopsies) to generate diagnostic imaging information.
Operate mammography and other radiological equipment safely while maintaining ALARA standards and adhering to MQSA, state regulations, and hospital policies.
Report findings to either a Radiology Supervisor or Regional Radiology Manager.
Education & Certifications
High School diploma or equivalency certificate (GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution.
Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
Licensed in Radiography for a minimum of one year and have successfully passed the ARRT exam in Mammography.
Maintain continuing education and continuing experience requirements as defined by the ACR.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-year experience as a mammography technologist preferred.
General knowledge of healthcare delivery services and mammography equipment.
Knowledge of MQSA and ACR regulations and image quality safety practices.
Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to complete mammography exams in a timely manner even under stress.
Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment.
Location Dedham, MA – Dedham Medical
Schedule Every other weekend, Saturday & Sunday – 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Employment Type Limited Part Time – Less than 20 hrs (not benefit eligible)
