About the Opportunity Join a global leader in packaging materials as the Director of Operations for their Delaware manufacturing facility. This is a pivotal leadership role offering the opportunity to drive operational transformation at a specialized plant producing high‑precision films and packaging solutions.
The Role As Operations Director, you'll oversee end‑to‑end manufacturing operations for a focused facility, managing blending, extrusion, calendaring, inspection, cooling, winding, laminating, slitting, and warehouse/logistics functions. Reporting to the President, you'll be the driving force behind operational excellence and cultural transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations across manufacturing, planning, purchasing, warehousing, and maintenance functions
Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies in a GMP‑regulated environment
Work cross‑functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement to optimize workflows
Build and empower high‑performing teams through coaching, development, and cultural change
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP standards, and pharmaceutical packaging requirements
Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with global operational standards
Manage operational budgets and KPIs while maintaining quality and safety excellence
What We're Looking For
10+ years in operations management with 5+ years in manufacturing leadership
Strong background in manufacturing environments (pharmaceutical, medical device, or packaging)
GMP knowledge and experience with quality management systems
Proven track record as a change agent who improves culture, processes, and performance
Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to coach and empower teams
