The mission of the Winter Park Institute (WPI) is to engage global thought leaders in meaningful conversations that impact our world. Their purpose is to create opportunities to explore new ideas that improve our lives and our communities.
Previously a part of Rollins College until 2020, The Winter Park Institute is now a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been reorganized and managed by a Board of Trustees.
Position Summary:
The Winter Park Institute, Inc., seeks a dynamic and experienced executive who will enthusiastically embrace its mission and lead the organization with excellence. The ideal candidate will report to and partner with the Board of Trustees to execute the vision for the future of the Winter Park Institute. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations including leading fundraising efforts; cultivating donor relationships; program development and management; event management including contract negotiation and managing logistics; financial management; and marketing/communications management.
Qualifications:
History of success in a senior management position; nonprofit organization preferred
Demonstrated visionary leadership and organizational management
Strong written and verbal communication skills; diplomatic communicator with multiple stakeholders
Experience working with a nonprofit board
Excellent interpersonal skills
A proven track record in fundraising and development
Strong business and management skills including budgeting and finance
Experience in program development and review
History of positive results in marketing and community engagement
Ability to collaborate and work with diverse groups, community organizations and partners
Proven competence with technology; demonstrated savvy with respect to Social Media platforms
Completed minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
