MannKind Corporation focuses on the development and commercialization of innovative inhaled therapeutic products and devices to address serious unmet medical needs for those living with endocrine and orphan lung diseases. The company is committed to using its formulation capabilities and device engineering prowess to lessen the burden of diseases such as diabetes, nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, and pulmonary hypertension. Our signature technologies – dry‑powder formulations and inhalation devices – offer rapid and convenient delivery of medicines to the deep lung where they can exert an effect locally or enter the systemic circulation, depending on the target indication.

Position Summary Lead teams who oversee enterprise‑wide functions including Help Desk, Desktop Support, Network, Core and Cloud Infrastructure, and Enterprise Productivity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud technologies, infrastructure management, technical support and team leadership.

Principal Responsibilities

Set the mission, vision, and strategy of the Cloud, Infrastructure and Support organizations to maximize the success of business and IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product priorities.

Manage IT infrastructure including routers, firewalls, switches, servers, virtual hosts, storage systems, and other equipment.

Lead IT planning for new hire onboarding, systems access, and hardware/software setup.

Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans.

Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and business key stakeholders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring cost‑effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.

Develop / Introduce innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance our overall competitive capabilities and enhance employee productivity.

Work collaboratively with senior management to identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.

Work in a collaborative manner with other departments to enhance productivity, improve systems and implement new technologies and projects as required. Serve as a trusted member of the IT leadership.

Partner with IT Security to ensure critical system security standards and best‑in‑class cloud security solutions are deployed.

Manage a world‑class technical support organization delivering industry‑leading responsiveness and customer satisfaction.

Build and lead a high‑performing IT operations team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Hire, train, coach, support and develop talent; manage team members' growth and career objectives.

Be a product expert, leading by example to resolve issues where needed.

Education and Experience Qualifications

BA/BS degree in a technology vertical with 15+ years or MS/MBA degree with 12+ years related experience.

6+ years in supervision of technical resources.

Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.

Experienced technologist – solid grasp of communication protocols, system hardening, network design, cloud technologies and integrations, incident handling practices, firewalls, alerting, monitoring and compliance frameworks.

Experience leading both Infrastructure and support functions.

Experience in leading through metrics; SLAs and KPI; ability to present insightful KPIs, metrics and trends to senior leadership.

Working knowledge of Cybersecurity controls and practices.

Maintains a mindset of continuous improvement and fosters throughout the organization.

Ability to project professionalism and confidence with high sense of urgency to resolve timely incidents; will need to know when and how to elevate issues.

Strong experience with Microsoft 365 deployments and support, desktop services, and collaboration services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and other Microsoft services).

Understanding of computer system validation, HIPAA and SOx regulations.

Previous Pharma experience preferred.

Pay Range $176,000 - $264,000 per year
