Your Role And Responsibilities The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports a multi‑billion dollar federal acquisition program by driving sourcing strategies, optimizing category spend, and mitigating supplier risk. This role focuses on identifying market opportunities and implementing procurement solutions that deliver value, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor the category and technology market to identify trends, innovations, and sourcing opportunities that enhance procurement outcomes
Manage category spend—particularly in telecommunications and related areas—by analyzing expenditures and identifying cost‑saving and performance improvement opportunities
Develop and implement category management plans based on market research and data analysis to inform sourcing decisions
Assess supplier risk and collaborate with contracting officers and technical teams to develop mitigation strategies that ensure supply chain stability
Create and execute sourcing strategies that align with program goals, ensuring all procurement activities are fair, transparent, and competitive
Engage with suppliers, contractors, and federal stakeholders to prioritize sourcing initiatives and drive continuous improvement in procurement operations
Preferred Education Master's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Foundational experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with up to 4 years of professional exposure
Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Supply Chain Management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex analysis to non‑technical audiences
Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in dynamic, multi‑stakeholder environments
Familiarity with supply market trends, supplier capabilities, and supply chain best practices
Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the U.S. government
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
Experience using procurement analytics tools or platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Spend Analysis software)
Familiarity with federal procurement systems such as SAM.gov, FPDS‑NG, or eSRS
