Primary Responsibilities
Lead product teams of software engineers in the successful development and delivery of high-quality, scalable health care solutions.
Design, develop, deploy, and support application components in an agile environment.
Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to product quality.
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability & quality.
Provide technical support to the team and help resolve technical issues.
Integrate and implement custom-created applications with commercial and open-source software.
Create high-quality software by conducting peer design/code reviews and developing automated tests.
Work with geographically distributed teams and mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment.
Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problems facing the health care industry.
Drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build, deployment, and operations.
Ensure all code adheres to development & security standards.
Stay current with new and evolving tech stacks via formal training and self-directed education.
Build strong commitment within the team to support the appropriate team priorities.
Technical Skills
10 – 15 years of experience working on multiple layers of technology.
AWS Cloud – 6+ years of working experience on AWS and leveraging managed services.
API/ Microservices – Strong understanding and development experience in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful Web Services.
Software development experience in Java & J2EE.
Microservice development, Spring boot, REST API, Design Patterns, AWS Cloud Experience.
Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
Terraform experience for managing AWS cloud resources.
DevOps – CI/CD pipeline experience (Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker).
Build tools such as Jenkins.
Java IDE (IntelliJ/Eclipse) with debugger experience.
Unit testing frameworks for Java and test-driven development.
Load testing and performance tuning.
Analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, and reasoning skills.
Performance issue troubleshooting in distributed systems.
Profiling and tracing tools like AppDynamics, New Relic, EAPM.
Container technologies experience.
Databases: NoSQL, SQL, RedShift & Elasticsearch.
Open-Source adoption and use cases.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Agile (SCRUM/KANBAN) methodology.
Data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
OO design patterns implementation.
Code optimization and performance tuning.
Nice to have Skills
IAM Domain experience.
Amazon Web Service certifications.
Product engineering experience.
