Sev1Tech is looking for a Configuration Management Lead to support a team providing enterprise IT operations support for a DHS customer.
Project Focus The project is focused on infrastructure management and operations, including monitoring, incident response, cybersecurity, system administration, patching, unified communications, and hosting. An emphasis is placed on automation to deliver reliable, scalable services.
Minimize manual intervention, improve efficiency, and reduce human errors.
Implement platforms that orchestrate end‑to‑end workflows.
Utilize AI and predictive analytics to detect anomalies, predict failures, and initiate self‑healing processes to reduce downtime and improve system resilience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
4+ years of team lead or equivalent experience in IT Configuration Management, metrics and reporting, ITSM process management, or related fields.
Experience maintaining a baseline and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) using platforms such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
Experience maintaining the baseline for efforts using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Advanced experience using CMDB to onboard new hardware/software accurately and confirm proper documentation.
5+ years of IT requirements management, configuration management, change management, or Systems Engineering experience.
Mid‑level experience in configuration and change management principles.
Working knowledge of Jenkins, configuration management database, code packaging, Jira, Salesforce, ELK, GitHub, AWS, and basic Unix commands.
Eligibility / Clearance Requirements Eligibility for Entry on Duty clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Experience maintaining the baseline for cloud‑based systems.
AWS certifications.
