Department:
FP&A
Reporting To:
CFO
Office Location:
New York, NY
Role Type:
Hybrid, Full-time
IPC is a global fintech company that focuses on the human element. With a global presence, we support local markets with our advanced cloud‑based trading communications and managed connectivity solutions. Through our portfolio of communications and connectivity solutions, we focus on solving business challenges and adapting to regulatory changes in the fast‑paced global financial markets. This enables our clients to maintain consistent market access, a strong competitive advantage, and enhanced operational efficiency. Join a team that is dedicated to delivering groundbreaking products and making a significant impact on our clients' success.
Overview Of The Team THE FP&A team at IPC is a high impact team. Based primarily in the US with members in EMEA, and collaborators in APAC.
Role Overview The SVP, Strategic Planning & Analysis reports to the CFO and partners with the CEO and Executive Team to own IPC’s enterprise planning cadence (long‑range plan, annual plan, rolling forecast), capital allocation, and portfolio strategy across products, markets, and GTM. This executive leads enterprise FP&A and is a primary partner to the CFO, CEO, Board, and private‑equity sponsors as IPC advances its SaaS‑first model. The SVP sets the strategic agenda, translates it into measurable OKRs/KPIs, and aligns investments to growth, margin, and cash goals—driving disciplined execution across Sales, Product, Operations, and General & Administrative expenses. The role leads a small, high‑impact team, collaborates daily with senior leaders, operates primarily in the U.S. with coordination across EMEA/APAC, and delivers sharper strategic focus, faster decisions, and investments that move the needle on growth, margin, and customer impact.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the 3–5 year long‑range plan and annual operating plan; run the enterprise planning cadence (budget, forecast, QBRs, Board prep) with scenario and capacity planning.
Direct the global FP&A organization; manage the VP, FP&A and senior leaders across Corporate/BUs, Revenue/Cost Analytics, and Workforce Planning.
Drive disciplined capital allocation and portfolio management (build/buy/partner, stage‑gates, hurdle rates, NPV/IRR) aligned to ROI, cash, and risk.
Establish a single source of truth and KPI ecosystem; set forecasting frameworks for ARR/MRR, NRR/GRR, churn/retention, CAC/payback/LTV, gross margin, and cash flow with driver‑based models linking bookings → ARR → revenue → cash.
Partner with Product, Sales, and Operations on pricing & packaging (e.g., good/better/best; usage/seat), monetization experiments, unit‑economics optimization, and ARR growth—including attach/expansion for Connexus® and Unigy®.
Lead performance management: variance/root‑cause reviews and monthly/quarterly business reviews; deliver concise, insight‑rich narratives to the CFO, CEO, Board, and private‑equity sponsors.
Own strategic finance for M&A and partnerships—market screening, diligence, valuation/deal modeling—and lead integration planning, synergy realization, and post‑close tracking.
Advance planning and analytics systems (e.g., Adaptive/Anaplan, NetSuite, Power BI/Tableau); automate reporting and strengthen data governance.
Conduct market sizing, segmentation, geo‑expansion, and competitive/regulatory analysis to inform strategy and risk posture; build retention/expansion playbooks with CS and Product.
Recruit, develop, and inspire a high‑performing, diverse team; model IPC values and a culture of accountability, data quality, and continuous improvement.
How You Will Make an Impact
Connect strategy to execution to drive sustainable growth, margin expansion, and cash generation as IPC scales its SaaS footprint.
Set the “north star”: define company metrics and an operating cadence; institutionalize an insight‑led planning function.
Within 12 months, reallocate 15–20% of discretionary spend to top‑quartile initiatives using scenario‑based gates with targets, leading indicators, and clear kill/scale criteria.
Launch an executive dashboard to cut time‑to‑decision by ~30% and reduce plan variance by ≥10%.
Turn customer and product signals into plays that lift ARR/NRR, reduce churn, and accelerate expansion in priority segments.
Expand contribution, gross, and operating margins via pricing/packaging, product mix, cloud efficiency, and support intensity— with clear owners and timelines.
Deliver decision‑ready materials for the ELT and Board, and embed SLA/latency, cost‑to‑serve, and ROI into planning with disciplined post‑mortems for closed‑loop learning.
Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role
Bachelor’s in Finance/Econ/Engineering (MBA preferred)
15+ years in B2B SaaS/fintech leading Corporate Strategy & FP&A with full LRP/AOP ownership across global P&Ls.
Experience with PE‑style value creation—commercial/operational diligence, LBO/returns modeling, capital structure/covenants, and board/sponsor engagement.
Driver‑based models, scenario/sensitivity and cohort/retention analytics; mastery of SaaS economics & KPIs (ARR, NRR/GRR, CAC payback, LTV/CAC, product‑level gross margin).
Value‑based pricing/packaging; A/B & multivariate testing with measurable impact on revenue, margin, and retention.
Expert Excel; strong BI (Tableau/Power BI) and executive dashboards; working SQL; board‑grade storytelling that distills complexity and influences ELT decisions.
End‑to‑end operator who partners with Product, Sales/GTM, Finance, Ops, and Compliance; builds/scales lean, high‑performing teams; sets OKRs/KPIs and durable operating rhythms; leads M&A and integration from pipeline through post‑close value capture.
Understanding of FP&A systems/software with experience in using and implementing systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
Desired Skills and Experience

M&A experience through sourcing, strategic diligence, and post‑close operating model/integration planning.
