Data Scientist – Level 2 Location
Annapolis Junction – Currently Hiring for Level 2 in HI Clearance
TS/SCI with Polygraph Salary
$112,000 – $124,000 Responsibilities
Perform data processing, including data management, curation, visualization, workflow, and reproducibility. Modeling, inference, and prediction – develop and assess data models using statistical and computational methods. Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets; communicate principled conclusions. Through analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and other scientific methods, develop qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing and exploring large datasets in various states of organization and cleanliness, accounting for the unique features and limitations of Government data holdings. Translate practical mission needs and analytic questions related to large datasets into technical requirements, and assist others in drawing appropriate conclusions from analyses. Effectively communicate complex technical information to non‑technical audiences. Provide recommendations on competing technical solutions, staying aware of evolving Government collection, processing, storage, and analytic capabilities and limitations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience. Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related fields with substantial computational component; or other science disciplines with a concentration of advanced mathematics coursework (5+ courses) and/or computer science. Relevant experience in designing and implementing machine learning, data science, advanced analytics, programming (proficiency in at least one high‑level language such as Python), statistical analysis, data management, data mining, data modeling, or software engineering.
