About the Role

Build and maintain data models with dbt to create a reliable, well‑documented analytics layer.

Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable data solutions.

Define core metrics, reusable dimensions, and standardized data models that power dashboards and reporting.

Implement thorough data quality tests and validation processes.

Design and optimize SQL queries for performance, readability, and maintainability.

Write clear, accessible documentation for data models, transformations, and business logic.

Support Looker (and potentially other BI tools) to enable self‑serve analytics company‑wide.

About You

1–2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering.

Proficient with dbt and building modular, maintainable data models.

Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, and window functions.

Hands‑on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

Familiar with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Strong business acumen and curiosity to understand how data drives outcomes.

Excellent communication skills, especially when translating technical concepts for non‑technical partners.

Compensation Pay range: $119,000 – $131,000 per year, aligned with national market data and a competency‑based approach.

Location requirement : Remote.

This role is open only to applicants in the United States and Canada.

Help Scout does not sponsor visas and all teammates must be authorized to work in their home location.
