Morrissey Associates, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to join our team! Located in a creative hub of Costa Mesa, Morrissey Associates has focused on providing design services to the educational sector since 1998. We offer an integrated project approach in a small office environment, providing numerous opportunities for growth and advancement.
The Project Manager is experienced in managing the design process from programming to project closeout. This will involve managing multiple stakeholders and team members including the client, engineering consultants, design team, and contractors while also managing schedule and profitability, and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
Establish a work plan for multiple projects. Monitor and implement the work plan.
Oversee as well as actively participate in creation of complete, fully coordinated design documents.
Coordinate projects with consultants and in‑house staff.
Interact with clients and project principal to coordinate and implement budget, scope and schedule.
Ability to lead client and team meetings throughout the project.
Establish a work plan for multiple projects. Monitor and implement the work plan.
Perform code, compliance, conditions and other relevant research conceptual & schematic design.
Ensure compliance of preliminary plans and construction documents with design intent.
Provide assistance in construction administration.
Assist in project close‑out efforts including punch lists and agency processing.
Meet with governmental agencies or officials as needed and coordinate agency submittals.
Qualifications
Registered Architect with 5 years experience in California Education sector.
Strong project management and organization skills.
Working knowledge of the CBC.
Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
Deadline and detail oriented.
Enthusiastic with strong leadership qualities.
