Mechanical Piping Site Manager / Superintendent Reports To: Regional Manager

Company Overview ISO Services is a 40+ year old industrial service and construction company providing all disciplines of industrial maintenance and construction. We are a division of Ergon Construction Group, an Ergon, Inc. company. Our services include soft craft trades (insulation, fireproofing, painting/coatings, scaffolding & heat tracing) in addition to our mechanical and civil capabilities.

Position Overview The Mechanical Piping Site Manager/ Superintendent is a leadership role responsible for managing multi-craft industrial jobsites with an emphasis on piping and structural steel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of OSHA requirements for the specific types of work performed.

Supervise and direct foremen and craft employees.

Provide scheduling & planning for projects.

Ensure all required materials, personnel, tools, and equipment are readily available for the job.

Ensure quality of work meets customer and company expectations.

Foster a safe work environment and prioritize worker safety.

Act as a key point of customer contact for communicating information and updates, business development, customer satisfaction, work coordination, and work planning.

Review time recaps and assure accuracy of craft employee time.

Track and report progress, manage project budget and schedule, and accurately account man-hours to appropriate cost codes.

Recruit and acquire skilled craft in compliance with company policy.

Manage owned and rented equipment, including maintenance and upkeep.

Purchase materials as required.

Manage sub-contractors if needed and coordinate with other onsite contractors.

Work with project managers, quality control coordinators, safety coordinators, payroll coordinators, and administrative assistants to achieve project success.

Assist with estimating and change management.

Develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, and associates.

Maintain integrity, professionalism, and morale of ISO Services' jobsites.

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Applicable Experience & Competencies

Minimum of 15 years of industrial piping/mechanical experience.

Advanced skills in pipefitting and welding, ironworking and boilermaking, and knowledge of soft crafts.

Ability to see/plan weeks ahead, identifying issues before they arise.

Ability to identify and solve problems in the field.

Advanced knowledge of estimating and project controls.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Basic computer skills and ability to proficiently use a smart phone / tablet.

Willingness to travel and take on out-of-town assignments for extended periods.

Physical Requirements

Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Walk long distances.

Work in high places (no fear of heights).

Work in any environment (heat, cold, rain).

Work up to 84 hours a week, if necessary.

Stand for extended periods.

Bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach, and climb.

Work in confined spaces.

Be well-groomed.
