Director, Functional Resilience and Crisis Management (Remote) Overview This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. This position is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy, frameworks, and policies to ensure the Bank’s ability to anticipate, respond to, and recover from disruptions. It oversees the identification, impact assessment, and scenario testing of critical business services while ensuring alignment with industry and internal risk frameworks. The role collaborates with Risk Management, Technology, Cybersecurity, Third‑Party Risk, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management teams to embed resilience into service delivery models, define impact tolerances, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. It also ensures resilience governance and reporting to maintain visibility into the resilience posture of critical business services.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of the enterprise resilience program, including scenario planning and counter‑measure strategies.

Develop and implement operational resilience programs, business continuity, and crisis management ensuring continuous improvement of incident management procedures.

Guide functional teams through crisis and incident management processes, from initiation to resolution, and provide direction on business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Manage performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff, setting expectations to achieve company and department goals.

Serve as the primary source of information for board, executive, senior leadership, associates, internal communications, and regulatory agencies during crisis events.

Coordinate and manage enterprise response to crisis events, partner with cross‑functional teams, and identify potential implications of crisis events for the enterprise.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience in enterprise resilience, recovery, business continuity, crisis/incident management, technology or risk management OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in enterprise resilience, recovery, business continuity, crisis/incident management, technology or risk management

Preferred Qualifications

Proven track record of building a risk‑based operational resilience function.

Leadership and strategic planning skills.

Demonstrated understanding of operational resilience, business continuity, resilience technology enablement and crisis management programs.

Ability to develop and execute activities against an operational resilience framework.

Ability to provide effective communications across varying levels of the organization.

Experience in a large financial institution.
