What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Provide legal advice and counsel to various internal functions, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
Lead due diligence review, negotiation, and documentation of mergers and acquisitions
Assist the Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel in resolving legal issues and maintaining compliance with legal requirements
Develop and implement global legal strategies related to commercial activities
Provide timely legal advice to executives and senior management on laws, regulations, and company policies
What is Required (Qualifications)
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
5-10 years of experience as an attorney in corporate and transactional law
Must be a member in good standing of a state bar
Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry preferred
Advanced writing, communication, and research skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in electronic-based legal research tools such as LEXIS/Westlaw
Familiarity with MS Office, including Excel
Previous supervisory experience of attorneys or legal support staff
