The Role We’re seeking a

Director / Senior Director

of UX Product Design to lead the vision, strategy, and execution for the Agentforce Development Platform. You’ll define how builders and developers author and evaluate agents — shaping an ecosystem of tooling, frameworks, and experiences that make innovation both accessible and robust. You’ll guide a talented team of designers and collaborate closely with technical product managers, engineering architects, and cross‑cloud partners to deliver unified, intuitive, and elegant experiences for the world’s most powerful agent platform. This is a high‑visibility leadership role at the heart of Salesforce’s AI + Platform strategy.

What You’ll Do

Define and drive the end‑to‑end UX strategy for Agentforce Development, spanning agent authoring, evaluation, SDK/API tooling, and lifecycle management.

Design for authors and builders across the low‑code to pro‑code spectrum, ensuring seamless transitions between declarative tools and developer workflows.

Create experiences that bring consumer‑grade quality to complex enterprise and developer environments.

Partner with Product and Engineering to evolve the evaluation framework and tooling UX — enabling builders to measure, debug, and improve agent performance with transparency and trust.

Drive a unified design system aligned with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS).

Leadership & Transformation

Build, evolve, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing UX team that thrives in a fast‑moving, innovation‑driven environment.

Drive the organization’s transformation from waterfall to agile, embedding design into every phase of delivery.

Foster a collaborative, feedback‑rich design culture rooted in experimentation and continuous learning.

Collaboration & Influence

Operate effectively in a matrixed organization, aligning across platform, client, run‑time, and evaluation teams.

Partner with technical PMs and engineering architects to translate complex systems into intuitive experiences.

Influence senior leaders on design strategy and customer‑centric product decisions.

Execution & Scale

Apply systems thinking to create scalable design frameworks, patterns, and evaluation flows.

Integrate user research, data, and iterative feedback loops to optimize agent authoring and testing experiences.

Deliver cohesive, end‑to‑end UX spanning agent creation, evaluation, deployment, and refinement.

Required Qualifications

10+ years in UX/Product Design, ideally with 2+ years leading large, multi‑disciplinary design teams.

Proven experience designing for developer and technical personas (SDKs, APIs, CLIs, IDEs, or platform tools).

Success working in matrixed organizations and partnering across design, product, engineering, and executive stakeholders.

Experience with AI authoring, evaluation frameworks, developer tooling, and agent lifecycle design.

Demonstrated success collaborating across backend platform, client, runtime, and evaluation teams to deliver cohesive, integrated solutions across the technology stack.

Exceptional storytelling and influencing skills; able to align diverse teams around a shared vision.

Preferred (Love To Have)

Experience designing consumer‑grade interfaces in enterprise or platform contexts.

Background in enterprise SaaS, AI, or demonstrated ability to lead organizational transformation from waterfall to agile.

Expertise in design systems, accessibility, and design operations at scale.

Passion for empowering builders across the low‑code to pro‑code continuum.

Who You Are You’re a strategic design leader who blends craft with systems thinking. You understand how to design for diverse technical personas — from low‑code builders to pro‑code developers — and how to translate complex agent behaviors and evaluation flows into simple, powerful experiences. You thrive in collaborative, matrixed environments, and believe that great design turns complexity into clarity.
