Base pay range $157,000.00/yr - $218,000.00/yr

The need for the Equipment Strategy Lead arises from the significant growth and complexity in Meta's data center building engineering, design, and construction. Over the past 1.5 years, the number of equipment submittals and SKUs has quadrupled, with over 1,000 SKUs and more than 300 in development. This expansion is driven by the increasing importance of owner furnished equipment (OFE) and is exacerbated by increasing quantity of manufactured owner furnished equipment (MOFE) as Meta's data center program grows and speed of deployment is critical.

Responsibilities

Combine inputs from Engineering, Hardware, & external industry sources to establish ENG tech cooling roadmap

Identify/engage potential vendors

Communicate technical requirements and business value drivers to align vendors to Meta’s business drivers

Establish & maintain register of vendor engagement

Alignment with TSM on existing vendor engagement

Maintain regular cadence of communication. Attend vendor meetings/industry conferences

Accountable for Mechanical/Controls OFE Planning BOM for all new/existing build DC Products Types (F, G, RDS, etc.)

Partner with building block champions on new/existing DC product designs & required OFE

Partner within DEC Demand Planning Team to establish overall demand signal for DEC

Maintain updated demand through monthly planning cycles

Partner with ISCE Demand on O9 Planning Tool

Review/vet proposals from O9. Establish rulesets for supplier allocation based on site conditions/constraints

Align with ISCE CSM on Prepositioning/Purchase Strategies (i.e. LTA, slot lock)

Partner with CSM/GSM to identify supply targets, as required identify/vet/qualify new vendors to enable technical/commercial readiness

Partner with GSM to qualify additional manufacturing locations (new & existing supplier)

Represent Engineering Team in supplier allocation recommendations at SSD

Review materials in advance of leadership presentations

Enable cost intelligence

Should Cost, TCO, Costing Forms

Review & contribute to regular updates of SSRF category plan docs

Partner with Quality Term for services buy-out

Establish repeatable process of service procurement

Establish criteria/testing requirements for FoK Performance Testing & FWT

Establish storage/buffering strategies on LLE equipment

OFE & integrator furnished equipment

Establish partnerships with strategic vendors to enable NetZero value design opportunities

Lead technical evaluation of potential new vendors (VCA) in partnership with IPT

Manage CDD development, status tracking/reporting, & revision control

Manage Vendor Specific Submittal Development, status tracking/reporting, & revision control

Manage EOR Equipment Consultant

Accountable for Site Specific BOM Review (OFE Vendor/Quantities)

Manage End to End Change Management (OFE Submittal)

Review/Adjudicate technical commentary from DCIS

Managing tooling to measure KPI for OFE vendor submittal performance

Represent Engineering Team in supplier EB/EBRs

Input engineering/technical score into overall BR

Collaborate with ICSE on supplier segmentation

Identify strategic/growth suppliers

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience

Applicable Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

7+ years of experience with program/project management

Experience working simultaneously on multiple projects, in a team or independently

Effective organizational and communication skills

Demonstrated experience establishing working relationships and resolving interpersonal conflicts

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Datacenter/Critical Facilities experience
