SMT Operator
We are looking for a skilled SMT Operator to join our team. Our company is a full-service contract electronics manufacturer based in Lake Forest, California, providing a wide range of electronic manufacturing services. We serve industries such as aerospace, defense, medical electronics, and industrial power. Responsibilities: Operate SMT equipment efficiently and effectively. Perform preventive maintenance on SMT and production equipment. Independently operate SMT automatic assembly equipment, including screen printer, SPI, pick & place, and reflow oven to produce high-quality, complex circuit board assemblies. Set up and understand set-up lists, assembly instructions, and assembly notes. Prepare and load components to feeders. Follow ESD handling procedures for sensitive electronic devices per ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007 standards. Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and JSTD-001 standards for the acceptability of electronic assemblies. Identify manufacturer's part number markings on various components. Identify critical component features, including package type and size. Understand ROHS compliance and compatibility. Identify, document, and report non-conforming material. Identify proper feeder types, such as 8mm x 2mm, 16mm x 8mm, vibratory, etc. Recognize Sn63 and Pb-Free solder pastes. Print solder paste on PCB from simple parts to 0201, less than 15mil fine pitch, and BGA packages. Perform routine maintenance for production equipment. Essential Skills: 2+ years of SMT operation experience. Knowledge of SMT machines and surface-mount technology. Familiarity with IPC standards. Experience with pick & place, X-ray or AOI, blueprint, production, PCB board, wave solder, and PCBA. Ability to operate SMT equipment independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications: ITAR certification. Experience with 'Pick n Place' equipment. Understanding of ROHS compliance. Why Work Here?
