IT Manager – Infrastructure & Transformation Experience Required: 8–10 years

Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and hands‑on IT Manager to lead and execute IT transformation initiatives across our infrastructure landscape. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Linux, Oracle, Microsoft Windows, Cisco networking, and Microsoft Azure, along with proven experience in managing complex IT environments, driving modernization efforts, and ensuring robust security and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage IT infrastructure transformation projects, including site migrations and cloud migrations (Azure preferred).
Administer and optimize systems across Linux, Windows Server, and Oracle platforms.
Oversee network architecture and operations, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Implement and manage patching strategies and vulnerability management programs to ensure system security and compliance.
Design and deploy cloud‑based solutions using Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud models.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement scalable and secure IT solutions.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and licensing for hardware and software.
Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., data privacy, cybersecurity).
Mentor junior IT staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
6–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and transformation.
Strong hands‑on experience with:
Oracle Database and Middleware
Microsoft Windows Server & Active Directory
Cisco networking (routing, switching, firewalls)
Site and cloud migration projects
Patching and vulnerability management tools and practices
Proven ability to manage and execute IT projects independently.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
ITIL or PMP certification.
Experience in hybrid cloud environments.
Familiarity with automation tools.
Security‑first mindset with exposure to cybersecurity frameworks.
Hybrid role (Onsite based in Itasca, IL.)
