AdventHealth Central Texas We are looking for a dynamic Manager of the Emergency Department in Killeen, Texas.
The Position
The new Manager of Emergency Department (ED) will be responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and overall accountability for AdventHealth of Central Texas’s Emergency Department with a focus on driving quality patient‑focused care that meets the needs of the community.
The Manager of ED will oversee approximately 81+ FTEs and will have responsibility over the 50‑bed Emergency Department which is divided up into trauma/cardiac, general patient, behavioral health, vertical recliners, and overflow.
This leader will focus on workforce and staffing initiatives such as mentoring new hires and junior‑level staff, recruitment, and retention rates. They will also collaborate closely with the physician team driving stable relationships across the department.
The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on dynamic leader who brings Emergency Department expertise and a strong understanding of regulations and financials.
Seeking a seasoned, adaptable, approachable, and detail‑oriented leader who can effectively collaborate with all levels of leadership. The ideal leader will balance the emotional needs of the team with accountability and a focus on process improvement.
Requirements
BSN is required.
Active TX RN license is required.
Active TNCC, ACLS, and/or PALS certifications are required; active CEN certification is preferred.
