The role focuses on hands‑on configuration and development within the university’s Salesforce ecosystem, supporting scalable and reliable solutions across Salesforce products including Ascend, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud. Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, flows, and other declarative tools. Contribute to Apex development tasks, including triggers, classes, and Lightning Web Components under senior staff guidance. Manage user roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings. Support data quality through automation, validation, and cleanup processes. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and QA coordination. Maintain platform documentation and contribute to release readiness. Assist with integration support and system optimization. Collaborate cross‑functional to translate business needs into technical solutions. Secondary Responsibilities

Participate in technical design discussions and propose scalable solutions. Support testing and deployment across environments. Contribute to end‑user documentation and training materials. Engage in professional development to expand technical depth and architectural understanding. What We Offer

Annual range: $105,000 – $115,000. Benefits

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (experience may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis). Minimum two years as a Salesforce CRM system administrator. Salesforce Administrator Certification. Demonstrated Apex development experience (coursework, projects, or professional contributions). Preferred Qualifications

Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Advanced Admin). Experience with Salesforce Ascend or Education Data Architecture (EDA). Exposure to DevOps tools and practices (Gearset, CI/CD). Higher education or nonprofit environment experience. Interest in technical architecture or solution design. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of Salesforce administration and configuration. Foundational Apex development skills and willingness to grow. Independent troubleshooting and problem resolution. Strong communication and collaboration with technical and functional teams. Attention to detail and documentation standards. Ability to learn new technologies. Interest in long‑term system design and architecture. Certifications
