Salesforce Technical Administrator Position Summary: Join Our Team and Make a Difference in Higher Education at the University of Colorado System Administration. This fully remote position (Colorado) may require relocation or in‑office collaboration at 1800 Grant St. Denver for scheduled callback weeks.

Primary Responsibilities

Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, flows, and other declarative tools under leadership guidance.

Contribute to Apex development tasks including triggers, classes, and Lightning Web Components under senior staff mentorship.

Manage user roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings.

Support data quality through automation, validation, and cleanup processes.

Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and QA coordination.

Maintain platform documentation and contribute to release readiness.

Assist with integration support and system optimization efforts.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Secondary Responsibilities

Participate in technical design discussions and propose scalable solutions.

Support testing and deployment activities across environments.

Contribute to end‑user documentation and training materials.

Engage in professional development to expand technical depth and architectural understanding.

What We Offer Salary: $105,000 – $115,000

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (education may be substituted with equivalent experience).

2 years of Salesforce CRM system administrator experience.

Salesforce Administrator Certification.

Demonstrated Apex development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Salesforce certifications (Platform App Builder, Advanced Admin).

Experience with Ascend or Education Data Architecture (EDA).

Exposure to DevOps tools (Gearset, CI/CD).

Higher education or nonprofit sector experience.

Interest in technical architecture or solution design.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong Salesforce administration and configuration skills.

Foundational Apex development skills and willingness to grow.

Independent troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Effective communication and collaboration with teams.

Attention to detail and commitment to documentation.

Learning agility for new technologies and practices.

Interest in contributing to long‑term system design.

Certifications

Salesforce Administrator Certification (required)

Salesforce PD1 certification (preferred)
