Special Projects Group
at KPFF is growing, and we’re looking for a
motivated, collaborative entry‑level Civil Engineer
to join our tight‑knit team in
Seattle, WA . You’ll work in the heart of downtown on projects that matter, from sustainable port facilities to habitat restoration projects that protect our Pacific Northwest ecosystems. We want people who are curious, ask great questions, and want to make a real impact on the communities and environments we serve. What You’ll Be Doing
Work on meaningful projects where you see your impact, from designing stormwater systems and habitat restorations that protect the Puget Sound to creating clean power infrastructure for cruise terminals that welcome visitors from around the world.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on innovative projects including port facilities, fisheries habitat restoration, small boat harbors, marinas, and railway infrastructure.
Address real‑world challenges using both proven methods and emerging technologies, with mentorship from experienced engineers who want to see you succeed.
Contribute to waterfront and industrial developments that balance economic growth with environmental stewardship, projects that help shape Seattle’s and the Pacific Northwest’s sustainable future.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
Willingness to work on a variety of projects.
AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Office located in Downtown Seattle with excellent access to light rail and bus routes.
Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
Occasionally visit project locations and perform field inspections, which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain. Site visits may occasionally require being in a boat.
Travel to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.

Compensation The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, and skills.
