Battery Assembly Technician (Day Shift/AWS) Amprius Technologies is a leading manufacturer of high-energy, high‑capacity lithium‑ion batteries. We produce the industry’s highest‑energy‑density cells with a 100% silicon anode and design advanced lithium‑ion cells for advanced applications.

Summary Amprius has an immediate opening for a Battery Assembly Technician. In this role you will use equipment and hand tools to produce our proprietary silicon anode Li‑Ion cells. The position is a 6‑month temporary role with potential conversion to a regular position. Reliable teamwork, mechanical assembly experience, and safety protocol adherence are required.

Job Responsibilities

Assemble battery components according to given specifications.

Test completed batteries to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.

Inspect materials and components for quality issues using tools such as a micrometer, mass scale, digital multimeter, and caliper.

Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor or manager.

Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.

Operate and maintain assembly line equipment.

Troubleshoot minor technical issues with assembly equipment.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Follow company safety protocols.

Requirements

Experience or willingness to use hand tools such as die punch, rotary tool, and cutters.

Manual dexterity and good hand‑eye coordination.

Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.

Basic understanding of assembly line processes.

Basic computer skills for accurate data entry.

Attention to detail and focus on quality.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and workplace policies.

Teamwork‑oriented mindset.

Education, Certifications, Experience

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

One year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive industries.

Physical Demands & Work Location

On‑site at Fremont, CA. Reliable commute or relocation before starting required.

Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.

May be required to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull.

Adherence to safety protocol and use of personal protective equipment (lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator, and safety shoes).

Work Schedule

Alternate Workweek Schedule (AWS): 3‑days × 12‑hour / 4‑days × 12‑hour every other week.

Shift timings from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Benefits

Salary: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Traditional and Roth 401(k).

Cell phone reimbursement of $50/month.
