Overview
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full‑time Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to perform RF engineering functions in support of system design, development, integration, production, and sustainment. The successful candidate will have experience in communication and navigation subsystems, including radios, antennas, navigation sensors, and link budgets.
Responsibilities • Perform RF engineering tasks for system design and development.
• Integrate RF subsystems into aircraft and support sustained operations.
• Develop link budgets and validate communications and navigation performance.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in RF Engineering, a related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Professional experience with CNI systems, including communications systems/data links, inertial navigation and GPS, and related avionics subsystems.
Knowledge of advanced data link technologies and radio systems.
Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills
Advanced degree in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management System tools/concepts.
Experience designing, developing, and integrating advanced communications, data link, and navigation systems.
Experience with C‑130 integrations.
Experience leading cross‑functional technical teams and presenting to senior leaders, program management, and external customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of LM system engineering processes.
Experience with military or government programs.
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (minimum).
Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be US citizens. Clearance level: Top Secret.
Work Location & Schedule Onsite Full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
Pay & Benefits Annual base salary range (California, Massachusetts, New York excluding major metro areas; Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, Washington DC): $123,500 – $217,695.
In major metropolitan areas (California, Massachusetts, New York): $142,000 – $246,100.
