Studio Technician (Part-Time) - WSB TV
Position Overview Atlanta WSB TV is looking for a part‑time Studio Technician that wants a foot in the door to television news production. This person will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Producer and/or the Director for all show production needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Stage and manage the daily newscasts
Check all floor equipment and set pieces for proper operation and visual aesthetics
Responsible for studio lighting, general maintenance, and wireless microphone batteries
Run scripts and news updates to and from the newsroom and studio
Operate teleprompter and Vinten robotic cameras
Assist with public service and commercial production
Assist in other News department projects as needed
Manage the studio floor for live and recorded programming
Contribute to digital and radio platforms as needed
Schedule may include nights, weekends, and or holidays
Minimum Qualifications
1 year of broadcast, film or editing experience
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
Detail oriented
Familiarity with computers and basic digital programs
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, moving bulky set pieces, climbing ladders as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum two years of college preferred
Live television experience preferred
