Partner Manager, Entertainment OpenAI’s Media Partnerships team collaborates with the world’s leading media companies to explore innovative AI strategies and OpenAI product opportunities across ChatGPT and Sora. We focus on delivering sustainable value through close partnerships and internal collaboration. Our mission is to foster strong relationships within the media industry and effectively communicate OpenAI's vision, values, and innovations.

About the Role As a Partner Manager, you’ll build and nurture relationships with film and television studios through 1:1 interactions, industry programs, and other partnerships. You’ll focus on building trust around OpenAI’s mission, defining product collaboration opportunities and adoption of our products, and educating on OpenAI’s technology.

You’ll spend time with media organizations and understand their process, motivations, challenges, and professional landscape. You will facilitate a feedback loop between OpenAI and the entertainment industry, effectively communicating our mission, vision, and goals while seeking feedback and sharing insights to inform product development and policy decisions. You’ll be responsible for building and executing strategies that cross an evolving number of industries.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, or can work remotely from Los Angeles, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In This Role, You Will

Build and nurture high‑value OpenAI key relationships with media and entertainment organizations in the film, television, and gaming space; familiarity with working with talent and agencies is a plus

Be responsible for product adoption and overall partner execution

Initiate and lead communications to drive new business opportunities and growth initiatives with these partners, working with XFN colleagues

Represent OpenAI in external partner meetings and public engagements

Build a communication loop between OpenAI and media partners related to our latest product developments and partner feedback

Work closely with the product, design, legal, and communications teams and other key internal stakeholders to share partner perspectives

You Might Thrive In This Role If You

Have 8‑10+ years experience managing relationships with entertainment media partners

Are deeply empathetic to our partners' challenges and can translate these to actionable feedback for our internal teams

Are deeply curious about how the media industry is thinking about AI tools

Have exceptional communication skills and can distill complex technical concepts into conversations that are meaningful for media partners

Thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working across teams of different background backgrounds and domain expertise

Are comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities and technologies

Are resourceful and can find creative solutions to challenges

Believe in the importance of transparency and authenticity in communication

Are mission aligned with the goals of OpenAI

Compensation Range $300K - $370K
