Overview The GPO Account Executive (GAE) is responsible for establishing and developing the contract account management approach to GPO member accounts nationwide. This role provides contract education, support, and expertise; works with Market Access to negotiate contracts that support appropriate product placement; and maintains relationships across multiple internal teams.
Responsibilities
Ownership of Contract Management within assigned GPO member accounts.
Manage day‑to‑day contractual account management operations for in‑market products and direct certain relationships with assigned GPO accounts.
Develop account‑specific business plans, execute against them, and provide quarterly business updates.
Present contract proposals to assigned accounts and deliver supporting educational information to drive contract strategies.
Ensure launch readiness with accounts for Eisai in‑market products.
Collaborate with sales regions and other internal functions to promote contract awareness, education, and penetration in key accounts.
Display strong financial acumen and negotiation skills and maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Maintain strong and effective business relationships with key internal functions.
Responsible for implementing and executing all company policies.
Administrative responsibilities: prepare monthly reports, expense reports, conduct team meetings, and execute various reports as required.
Collaborate with critical internal partners (Payer Account Executives, Area Business Leaders, Brand and Sales management, Finance, Pricing, Contracting, Patient Services, etc.).
Understand market coverage, reimbursement issues, and pricing/contracting strategies affecting Eisai products.
Work cross‑functionally to foster development of business capabilities by educating key stakeholders.
Requirements
Four‑year college degree or higher; MBA/MS (or similar) preferred; PhD a plus.
Minimum 8 years experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing, sales, or market access.
Minimum 3 years in large account management roles and 3‑5 years in GPO or large account management focusing on contract and direct account management.
Strong understanding of healthcare dynamics, contract management strategy, and reimbursement.
Solid business acumen, strong customer orientation, and documented ability to drive results.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and selling skills.
Excellent business writing and presentation skills; strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Previous people leadership experience preferred.
Extensive travel (≈70%) to accounts, sales, and US market access meetings.

Travel & Engagement As a condition of employment, applicants must be able to engage in person with HCPs and other third parties at their offices, institutions, and other appropriate locations on a regular basis. Salary & Benefits The base salary range for this position is $189,900–$249,300.
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan and Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan.
