Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Accountant located in Carmi, IL. The Accountant will handle day‑to‑day financial operations, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing tax preparation and compliance, conducting audits, and supporting client bookkeeping functions. The Accountant will also work closely with clients to ensure financial accuracy, adherence to regulations, and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
Qualifications
Expertise in accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance
Experience in auditing and bookkeeping practices
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software and tools, as well as general computer literacy
Excellent communication, client management, and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification is highly preferred
Familiarity with government and not‑for‑profit accounting will be an advantage
