Role Summary This role is responsible for managing the financial success of multiple high‑profile projects and providing guidance and direction to external financial support resources. The incumbent creates and implements project financial forecasts and reports financial performance to leadership, ensuring adherence to budget plans and advising on strategies to mitigate cost impacts. Collaboration with project delivery teams, corporate finance, and leadership ensures transparency and accuracy of the assigned portfolio.

Work Schedule & Location Flexible/hybrid work schedule

includes 3 in‑person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Core office location is Salisbury, NC. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform IT financial and cost management activities (e.g., budget, forecast, actuals, accruals, material change requests).

Review, process, and manage invoices to confirm accuracy in charges, account coding, purchase orders, journal entries.

Support the project approval or rebalance process and confirm funding allocations align with the overall annual IT portfolio budget.

Provide project performance metrics and transparency against approved budgets.

Communicate the IT portfolio and project financial and cost management processes, controls, and tools to project accounting staff and ensure alignment across IT portfolio.

Provide guidance on processes and tools to external financial support staff.

Identify and communicate any major discrepancies between planned spend, approved project funding, and actuals.

Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our values.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field required.

3‑5 years of experience supporting IT portfolio financial management processes in an agile context (e.g., SAFe).

Exposure to managing financials in both waterfall and agile project methodology portfolios.

Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards and regulations.

Analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Presentation skills.

Intermediate Excel proficiency.

Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP and/or SAFe preferred.

CPA preferred.

PMP preferred.

Salary Ranges ME/NC/PA/SC: $75,040 - $112,560

IL/MA/MD: $86,320 - $129,480
