Salary: $1,000-1,250 monthly based on completed credit hours

Required Qualifications
Must be accepted into a graduate program at Sul Ross State University.
Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, or applicable field.
Previous collegiate basketball experience either playing or coaching.
Computer skills and standard office machine proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Collegiate level coaching and/or playing experience.
Personnel management and supervision experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist coaching staff in on‑court practice duties and player workouts.
Support student‑athletes in academic performance and graduation goals.
Monitor all workouts to ensure safety and compliance with NCAA and university policy.
Assist in recruiting and retaining high‑quality student‑athletes.
Correspond with prospects using written, in‑person, phone, and visit communication.
Support student‑athlete academic and athletic excellence, leadership development, team development, and community service.
Assist with day‑to‑day program operations and maintain equipment.
Use Microsoft, Synergy, Hudl, and related software.
Maintain NCAA compliance and stay current with profession developments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Clear knowledge of basketball and ability to develop a competitive program.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, athletes, and alumni.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong recruiting and coaching skills.
Proficiency with technological recruiting and coaching tools.
Understanding of NCAA Division III philosophy and related regulations.
Supervision Reports to: Head Men’s Basketball Coach
Working Conditions Typical: Nights and weekends required.
Person must exercise due caution, practice safe work habits, and ensure personal and others’ safety. This position is security sensitive.
