Primary Role
The Commercial Lines Account Manager works collaboratively with the Risk Consultants and Account Executives managing a book of business. Coordinates day-to-day service for property/casualty clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrier relationships, and understanding client needs. Serves as the day-to-day contact and provides resolution for client questions and issues.
Duties and Responsibilities Manages a book of insurance business with high discretion and autonomy. Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations. Supports Risk Consultants in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business. May be responsible for account rounding and follows standard practices, policies, and procedures. Works closely with Risk Consultants and other HUB personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while adhering to HUB Broker Standards. Oversees the preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts. Acquires understanding of clients’ insurance objectives, critically analyzes and compares insurance plans to determine suitability, stays abreast of changes in the industry, makes tailored recommendations, acts as liaison between clients and carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues, negotiates with underwriters and carriers, troubleshoots billing issues, retains overall accounts, organizes client meetings, documents conversations, updates HUB systems, prepares reports, oversees Account Administrators, supports and mentors Account Administrators, attends continuing education training, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in an Account Manager/Account Administrator role in an insurance environment.
High School Diploma required or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
P&C License required or able to obtain within 120 days from hire.
Advanced professional designation preferred or in progress (e.g. CISR, AAI, ARM, CIC, CPCU).
Physical Requirements Employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Requires close and distance vision. Some travel required by car to meet with clients and other outside events.
Other Requirements Must hold a valid Driver’s License; dependable transportation; public speaking and language skills; ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and speech; bilingual in English and Spanish is a big plus; strong math skills; reasoning ability; ability to interpret technical instructions.
Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); follows guidelines for working in BMS (EPIC) for premium efficiency.
