Job Description Domain:

Role Overview:

The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating agile delivery across insurance technology initiatives. This role requires strong expertise in agile frameworks, backlog management, sprint execution, and dependency resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross‑functional teams in insurance product development and digital transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Manage sprint execution, backlog grooming, and release planning for insurance applications.

Track and report key metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and sprint outcomes.

Identify and remove impediments impacting team progress and delivery timelines.

Coordinate with product owners, developers, testers and architects to ensure alignment on sprint goals.

Support agile adoption across insurance programs including underwriting, claims, and policy servicing.

Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

Facilitate continuous improvement through retrospectives and process optimization.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban and scaled agile frameworks.

Experience managing agile delivery for insurance platforms such as policy administration, claims processing, and customer portals.

Proficiency in agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, or Azure DevOps.

Ability to manage dependencies across multiple teams and systems.

Familiarity with insurance workflows and digital servicing models.

Knowledge of agile metrics and reporting techniques.

Experience in risk identification and mitigation planning.

Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Scrum Master or Agile methodologies.

Experience with enterprise transformation programs in life, health or general insurance.

Background in software development or testing within agile environments.

Understanding of data privacy and compliance standards in insurance.

Pay Transparency Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The base salary range for the tagged location is $90,000‑$93,000 per year. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission.
