Sales Executive, Employee Benefits (Phoenix/Scottsdale) Beam Benefits, a digitally‑led employee benefits company, invites you to join our team as a Sales Executive focused on expanding our presence within the Phoenix/Scottsdale market. In this role you will build and nurture broker relationships, drive new business, and help position Beam as a leading benefits partner.

The Role The Sales Executive is a pivotal in‑market sales role that establishes and expands partnerships with brokerages within your territory. You will saturate the market with Beam’s presence, work closely with brokerages that align with our Ideal Broker Profile, and support national broker partners and general agency partnerships to maximize Beam’s value across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales objectives, including monthly, quarterly, and annual booking targets.

Execute the full Beam sales process: broker prospecting, lead generation, qualifying opportunities, scheduling appointments, delivering presentations, understanding employer benefit challenges, developing solutions and proposals, forecasting, pipeline management, and overcoming objections.

Use high‑activity tactics such as e‑mail, cold calls, and web demos to rapidly develop new markets.

Establish and expand strong, productive relationships with independent, regional, and national brokerage partners, converting these relationships into new Beam clients.

Maintain accurate sales data; use Salesforce to track opportunities, leads, activities, forecasts, and metrics.

Stay informed about new product and feature launches to keep broker partners up‑to‑date.

Track and analyze activity and sales metrics to ensure alignment with goals.

Collaborate regularly with sales leadership to identify trends and help brokers and markets progress toward success.

Travel in‑market up to 20% of the time.

Qualifications & Experience

3+ years of B2B sales experience in a high‑volume role, with channel sales experience preferred (e.g., through employee benefits brokers or general agencies).

Experience in the insurance industry, ideally in dental, vision, life, disability, or supplemental health products.

Ability to generate and analyze reports to optimize sales performance and enhance the broker purchasing experience.

Strong organizational skills and exceptional written and verbal communication.

Ability to quickly learn new ancillary product lines and adapt to dynamic sales processes and tools.

Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.

Requirement to secure a Life & Health license within 60 days of hire.

Passion for building relationships within the employee benefits broker community, emphasizing in‑person engagement and rapport‑building.

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for in‑person meetings and events.

Training and Development

Beam provides an in‑depth onboarding program with ongoing coaching and resources to support your growth.

Develop into a nimble sales researcher, skilled at discovery and multi‑threading to navigate complex sales processes.

Master industry‑specific communication and sales techniques to identify broker needs, propose tailored solutions, and close deals confidently.

Gain expertise in Beam’s internal tools and Salesforce to manage pipelines efficiently.

Beam will cover the cost to obtain your Life & Health license.

Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $160,000 per year, complemented by a variable compensation structure.
