Appellate Counsel – Department of Revenue
The General Counsel’s Office is hiring for a grant funded position handling alcohol-related driver license appeals in the Eastern, Western, and Southern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals. The attorney will draft briefs, participate in oral arguments, conduct research, teach DWI case law, and collaborate with the General Counsel and Attorney General’s Office to develop appellate strategy.
Duties
Represent the Department on appeals of alcohol‑related driver license issues.
Serve as liaison with the Attorney General’s Office to develop appeal strategies.
Legal research and writing.
Teach DWI case law updates for law enforcement officers and attorneys (occasional travel required).
Maintain strong familiarity with Missouri Supreme Court rules and appellate procedures.
